I am not a morning person, yet I am up at 4 am every day to prepare for the day. The reason for my early mornings is that if I do not force myself into a routine, then I become an extreme procrastinator. If I allow myself to get up when I feel like it, which usually happens on a Sunday, then my awakening unfolds really slowly.
Is this a bad thing? I believe it depends. Every person is different when it comes to mornings, and mine is to start slowly up to the point where I settle in with a good breakfast and my laptop. I catch up (no pun intended) on the daily news via my favorite online channels, and it is usually at this time that I also log on to my online business to see how everything is going. This happens at home or at any coffee shop that I choose to visit, anywhere across the country.
But why do I get up at 4am then, I hear you ask? Well, that is because I have to work for a salary at this point in time, but I have already started changing my path away from the salary-earning road. Unfortunately I cannot ditch my work yet, as my online endeavor is still in its beginning phase. But a lot of things have already changed for me after my engagement with the Launch You group of people.
I don’t read instructions most of the time. Just start doing it and figure it out as you go, but this didn’t work so well. I made a lot of mistakes, listened to a lot of people, and found out that most of them are talking rubbish. You don’t just get online and start making money. It is far more complex than that, and yes, it is true that anyone can master the skill to make money online, but it takes dedication, hard work, and tenacity to become successful online.
So why not just stick to what you know, do a job where you get paid, or keep doing the same stuff if you are a business owner or shop owner? The problem with that is that you will stay exactly where you are and probably will go slightly backwards every year due to the world moving on and transforming more and more into a digital society. But the change in our world is not the only compelling reason why you should consider changing; it is more about the benefits that the new digital era offers, specifically when it comes to making money and growing your business to a level not possible during the industrial era.
What am I talking about? The digital era brings the possibility to showcase your talent, or your products, or services to the entire world without having to travel or physically cart products around the world to create awareness and get sales. Never before has it been possible to reach an insane amount of people with very little input costs and without even being in the same country. Sure, it will cost something, and it will require time being put in, but in the digital era the cost is a fraction of what it was in the industrial era. The biggest cost comes in the preparation time and is typically a cost associated with effort or time spent on getting ready to do your thing on the internet. But this is also the area where most people, me included, think they don’t need assistance, or they get overwhelmed and think it is not for them.
Nothing can be further from the truth. With the right assistance anyone can learn how to use the advantages of the new digital era to break free from their current situation; even if it is just to change the way you think, it is already a win. I thought I knew and arrogantly went on my own path, thinking I knew better. Eventually I realized I needed someone’s help to guide me, but I wasn’t looking for a self-help course or an online course to teach me; I was looking for a warm body who would be willing to guide and assist me to where I think I wanted to go. My search on the internet led me to Mitch. Mitch didn’t offer to help me but told me his story and how he got help, pretty much for the same reasons I had. Mitch got help through a group of people who set up a company where they offer mentorship together with technical assistance and workshops. Mitch introduced me to this group, and through their mentorship and workshops, I changed my entire outlook on what it takes to be successful in life. And then we started with my online business.
Yes, you read it right; I first had to understand what my view of the world is and how that affects my actions and ultimately the way I will be interacting with the digital world. And, the digital world may not be for you, but at least you will be a lot more informed about what it is and what you can do on the internet.
